Bob Newey was born in Michigan on October 28, 1935. He was born again in March of 1974. He graduated from college in 1957 and from The University of Texas Law School in 1960. He has practiced law for 50 years in Houston. He is currently serving as the Associate Judge of the 308th Family District Court in Harris County, Texas where he has heard cases involving divorces, child custody and Children’s Protective Services (CPS) since December of 2001. He is married to Judy Newey and has 2 children, 2 step-daughters and 10 grandchildren.

Bob believes that God is calling His people to be visible in the communities where they reside and work. God’s Church is to go and make disciples by doing as Jesus did, which was to go among all the peoples—especially the poor, marginalized and downtrodden—and meet their needs. Jesus’ power and impact came, not from inviting them to the synagogue, but through his practice of living and serving in their midst. He met them where they were to tell them of God’s love. He then demonstrated that love by providing them what they needed, whether it was healing, feeding or forgiveness. Bob believes that the real Church, unified and obedient to the commands of Christ, is to do the same.

Sharon Holland is a native of Huntingdon, Pennsylvania. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in reading from Shippensburg University. Sharon taught for eleven years in the public school systems of Pennsylvania and Georgia. It is from her experience in teaching in urban settings that her interest in missions began. Realizing that schools, families nor children are "fixed," she learned that being loved results in real change. This realization also came when she accepted that she could not be fixed, but through the love of Christ she could be changed. Sharon met the love of her life, Jason, in Atlanta, Georgia. Their loves are Abbey and Jordan who have graciously accepted their mother as their teacher. In the interim between teaching large classes and the much smaller one she has now, Sharon was an editor for an entrepreneurial magazine, Children's Ministry Director, and her favorite role as CFO/COO for her family. Her most recent honor is serving as Elder of Missions for Lifepath Church in Houston, Texas. In her spare time Sharon loves to run, swim, and create.
