What is a prayer tour?
On the Learning to Love Our Neighbor Prayer Tour we take time out of our busy schedules to visit many places in our community that we may not regularly come across. During the drive, information and statistics are provided about each particular stop along the prayer tour. The bus stops at 4 or 5 different locations to pray for very specific needs within various community sectors such as business, education, poverty, family/community dynamics and religious culture.

Why participate in a prayer tour?
The purpose of a prayer tour is to see first-hand some of the under-represented areas of our community. The tour helps participants become more familiar with some of the economic, demographic, and spiritual needs in our community to help us position ourself, churches, and the larger body of Christ to be more effective in reaching others for the Kingdom. The tour also shows how Mission Cy-Fair is currently helping to equip and mobilize others to be the hands and feet of Christ.

Who participates in a prayer tour?
The prayer tour is open to everyone. This is a great opportunity to learn more about our community and its uniqueness, as well as begin to build relationships within the community. Middle and high school students are one of our biggest assets in outreach, and are highly encouraged to participate.

How can I participate on a prayer tour?
Sign up for our next prayer tour by contacting Stan Stevenson at stan.stevenson@missioncyfair.org. The length of the tour is approximately 90 minutes and a love offering is collected to cover the cost of a bus. Arrangements can also be made to utilize your church bus or van for a personal tour.
